Description
DOWNLOAD FOR TUTORIAL PDF.Part one of my expressions tutorials. Any advice, critique, or requests would be fantastic. I honestly don't know what would be considered helpful since I have been drawing so long.
Emotions are one of those things when we see it, we can label it right away, but am I right in finding how to draw the right complex expression can be tricky?
Or perhaps a visual reference would be better suited. Like a hundred different emotions.
Tutorial 1 eyebrows:
Tutorial 2 Major emotions:
Tutorial 3: how to draw lips

This is one of the reasons it's taken me so long to even want to try drawing humans, is because of how complex they are, especially the face! I've been drawing since I was a kid (used to get in trouble at school for doing more drawing than pay attention in class!), but as you can see from my stuff...it's mostly animal related *laughs* Izzie's been really encouraging me to explore this more lately so I've been drinking in anything you guys (and her too!) have to say and stoof.... So thank you for starting this project! I definitely appreciate it
Quite honestly, I find both, using visual ones of RL people and pictures very helpful to me personally.

You'll get it, I'll draw any tut you like .
As for humans vs animals You can transfer this information to cartoon creatures too. For example Looney tunes vs anime. Here is a sad looney tune dog (aka Marc Anthony) [link] and the dog thing from Excel saga using an emotional shortcut [link] by taking human emotions and applying it to an animal, it emphasizes the comedy, and melodrama of the emotion.

My main concern right now is with body bases...do you have any tutorials for that?
And true, though honestly I've never had much experience drawing emotions on much of anything! *giggles* I'm hoping I'll get all that in time. I don't think I'm doing too bad for someone who's never taken an art class in her life...and at least, too, I'm able to see what the issues are in alot of my own drawings of where I need to improve.
And any critique on my stuff would be great! I would kill to have a portion of your talent, but I'd love any comments you have on how I can improve, and what I can focus on. Izzie's alot of help in that regard too. <33
