He looks like a gentleman Easter Bunny, I don't see many of those around. It looks like something from a really great storybook, like one I haven't found but would've enjoyed in my childhood. The colors are lovely and well picked, the white, brow, and grey are great colors to use for a bunny. I have to wonder if he's eating seacress sandwiches and what is in his picnic basket?

ya know, why is it an easter bunny that hides eggs? rabbits don't lay eggs.....why not an easter Robin? it would make more sense that way....

To understand Easter one would have to understand the history of the myth itself.
To begin with Easter is originally a pagan tradition meant to celebrate the Goddess EΓ‘stre/Eostre/Eoaster/Ishtar/etc. The festival of Eostre was celebrated on the day of the Vernal Equinox (spring). Traditions associated with the festival of the Teutonic fertility Goddess survive in the Easter rabbit and colored eggs.
The meaning behind the rabbit, or rather the hare, that lays eggs is that this hare was once a bird whom Eostre changed into a four-footed creature. Essentially a hare that lays eggs.
There is a lot more to the story and such but I won't ramble about it here...

Hehe, yes. I am a big fan of Zelda MM. In fact I have been playing it as of late. Although Tael has a red glow around him and my Zelda Fairy is really just a purple fairy. I do need to update my avatar too...

lol MM is awesome. I like Tatl, she is cool and so much funner than Navi....I have the collectors edition for GCube, my first file got eaten by my stupid memory card, so I had to start it over again...only just now finished it. as of, 5 or so minutes ago? no joke! ah, such a happy/sad ending....I only wish you could see the grown up Kafei's face....kinda disappointing...now to go back and try to get everything....I already got all the masks....now for the heart pieces and the bombers notebook....and the biggest quivers...never did manage that.....

Oh I've beaten it before and gotten all the masks and other items including the Fierce Deity's Mask and even completed the Bomber's Notebook. I just started to replay the game again since it's been a while. So I do know what Kafei's adult appearance looks like hehe~

D: WHAT!? HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE AS AN ADULT!! ....do you have a picture link???? I WANNA SEE!!!!
Ya, I have the Deity's mask, but I looked in my notebook, I thought i got them all....apparently when your completely done with someone, theres a little symbol at the lines end, but there are some people that don't have that.....Grandma, the Postman, and a couple others I can't think of....

This is lovely work; the shading and subtle colour transitions are superb, especially on the face. Looks very natural; a wonderful job on the inking as well.
Curiously, what are you using to do your inking?
The egg-shaped frame is clever; it would look great in a similarly-shaped frame on a wall.
Keep up the lovely work;

i could totally see this as a kid's fairybook tale
"as the bunny was drinking his tea, a worm came out of his ears after eating his brain. he then, died. the end."
...wait wrong genre.

How do you get your inks not to run? When ever I lineart, even with waterproof pens, they still run a tad.

What good is delivering eggs if you can't sit down and snack on a few with a cup of tea! Hehehe! Great line art and coloring in this one and it's very festive in a stylish way! Excellent deviation, happy Easter, and congratulations on the DD!

This reminds me of an antique board game called Uncle Wiggily. You had to help an elderly rabbit hop to the doctor's office for some rheumatism medication. He looked just like this, but with a top hat. Too cute!
