Last November, about the time I joined dA, I had someone say to me that I'll never be able to make a half-decent MMD edit. We were discussing whether or not I should make an edit of Montecore. I suggested I make Miku - she said there was no way I could. At that time, I agreed with her. I had low self-esteem back then, and to be honest, I could only do simple edits (I was in a rut, and I only edited Animasa). I had my head around MMD, but PMDe and PMXe wasn't my forte.This was five months ago.
Yesterday afternoon, I was talking to satokeki about this, and, given that recently I've had a lot of practice with PMDe, I suggested I make a Montecore Miku. She agreed, giving me advice and helping me pick parts. This was my first experience in fitting parts - the shirt, armwarmers and boots were fitted by me. I'm overjoyed with the outcome. My self esteem is higher than it was back then. I'm getting decent grades, I'm good at what I like, I feel there's no need to dwell on it.
Here's a message to said person that put me down: You know what? I don't even care anymore. If anything, I thank you for putting me down. It was easier for me to move on. Besides, look where I am now.
What I'm trying to say is if somebody says you can't, do you think they're right? You've got it in you. If you think they're right, then they are. Practice makes perfect. Even outside of MMD, if you can't do it, zoom in on it, and practice with that particular thing. You can do it.

Its exactly what I wish the MMD community was like. Not caring if someone calls an edit crap and such. Its whether the person who made the edit likes what they did and have it in them to practice and make said edits even better as the days go on. In all honesty, this is a better Montecore model that I could even make, I mean really. She looks wonderful and honestly, it seems as though you like how she turned out. That's what matters: YOU liking it.
If Montecore would every allow this edit to be distributed to the public, I'd surely download her and use her.

Its taken me years of practice and the program keeps getting updated. That person probably couldnt do it themselves. I make tons of models when i have time and it just takes practice. I love this adorable miku model.

The fingers really aren't your fault at all. The original model was like that.

it`s a miku edit, but it has a style to it. like maddies miku.
yeah some of the textures are off color, and the fingers are weirdly gray, but those are easy fixes, you know ?

This model is imperfect nor is it relevant to the real design of Hatsune Miku like , what is wrong with those eye brows??

Considering that you used to send me all the edits and pictures you were working on, it just makes it that much easier for me to see how much you've improved! You've come so far from just editing colours and accessories on models, its almost unbelievable of how much progress you've made. Hell, I can't even make a fuckin pigtail shorter without making it look like a gigantic stack of shit.
