Alek and Deryn kissing from Leviathan.Yes, the blonde is a girl, and yes she is taller.
hehe Alek seems more into it. Maybe he's had supressed feelings to awhile XD
The title is because the backgound is based off one of my favorite american books. If you can guess it I think that I will cry in joy.
This was done for the Alek-Deryn first kiss contest, I hope that I did ok as this was my first time drawing people kissing. Constructive criticism please!
Done on Paint tool sai, textures added in Photoshop elements.

I am currently reading my English book the Great Gatsby and going over my notifications. I saw this and thought 1. I really like the background. It looks like moving lights! Then I stared for a bit and looked at the book cover then read how it's based off of one of your favorite books. Oooh coincidences.
But I really like how you did the lighting and shading. The way you color just gives it such a luminosity and soft feeling and splendid look. (:

That background is so based on The Great Gatsby. You just need the eyes hanging overhead (maybe put glasses over them to make it look like the eyes of Dr. T.J. Eckelberg). Awesome! ^^ Do I get brownie points for guessing the book?
