Description
So just a quick upload of the latest in a group of four kits I've built. The Hildolfr has been in my collection for a very long time just needing to be put together. I started in January and just finished yesterday but ran out of time to upload anything. It was fun. First real work involving 'armor' versus my normal Bandai experiences. Actually enjoyed playing around with different weathering techniques to simulate dust and crap versus the scuffs and scrapes that seem to work better in a lot of the HGUC designs. It has two trigger hands so I threw my old HGUC Gouf's rifle on it. Might as well make it more unique from the regular Zaku II Machine Gun. I'll upload links to the other angles later.Related content

Could always join the army and run around in a tank? Be the closest thing we'll ever get to it I fear.

Yeah, but this design(MS Torso, tank lower body) is more feasible with current technology than a full humanoid 60 ft MS is lol. Also, dat cannon's power

The Hildolfr episode is particularly brilliant I think.

well they're all 'available' now with great subs. You should deffo check them out - there's so much different mecha in them -
here are some GIFs I made from my favourite scenes:

(it'd be best to start from the last page then go backwards to have them in order)

I've never had a chance to see them. I saw the first episode on Youtube, but it was still in Japanese and was a terrible rip so things were glitchy.

Actually moderately jealous at this
Been meaning to get my hands on one eventually.
Excellent job, as always.

It was fun. I almost thought of going with a Panzer's tiger striped camo look but decided to keep it simple. Figured the addition of a spare Gouf machine gun and ammo clip under the shoulder was enough mods to the design. The only reason anyone looks is for big ass tank.

That is sorta the main drawing point. Same as the camel thing....Xamel?
Yeah, Xamel.
Huge frikkin Artillery Mobile Suit
But yeah, great work on the additions, even if they're simple

It's pricey but a pretty cool build. There are some flimsy parts hidden near the rear of the turret. They really don't do anything to detract from anything but be detailing.

Doesn't look like a lot of people jumped on the wagon to put together the half MS half tank design. More people like the iconic Guntank. Might be the lower price point and simpler design. I really need to grab up a MSV Zaku Tank to kit bash with my old Zaku IIs from the older HG 08th MS kits.

Thanks. Was fun to build. It was cool having a real use for the sand and mud color weathering from the Tamiya Weathering Effects. They really brought out all the awesome detailing in this beast.

All the box art was CGI, too. Only sucked about building was all the nice colored pictures were on the box instead of in the instructions. One would figure for $60 that an extra fold out of color schemes would be present instead of risking the sun bleaching that a box can suffer.

Also nice model btw. I've never made a high grade before, just master grades. How are they?

HGs are pretty easy, at least up to what I've done. I think they're suppose to be the more true to the animated versions of the designs where MG and up are the full spectrum sci-fi detailing and artist renditions made real. No inner frames like the MGs or RGs, either. They were starting to become more complex when I stopped buying them in 2009 (had to save up for a house so I bought a bunch with the intention of putting them together over the years). Nice part of the HG kits are being able to build them cheaply and then invest in the details later by investing in $3 old 1/144 kits like I did with the Zaku Minelayer.
This kit is actually an EX kit. Higher details than the standard HG of the time. I actually have two HGUC Zaku IIs needing pics and one older HG Gouf Flight Type that I have to do an emergency fix to (some how I tagged the shoulder with yellow and it's a gray kit).
EX kits are higher priced versus HGUC but I think you're playing in detail rich designs and various icons that aren't the standard Gunpla. A lot of ships were made in this line that are really small but very costly and some 1/35 dioramas are available of Ramba's Guerilla Unit and the EFGF's tanks.

I remember having to take that thing out in Gundam Crossfire.... It wasn't that hard. Not like my first time fighting the Xamel. That sucked! DX

I can't imagine it being a real threat. It probably couldn't move fast so if it doesn't ambush a person, it's pretty much toast. If you look, this actually could pass as the prototype Xamel. It basically uses the Xamel as the base MS torso on a tank.
