Description
The AT-AT has a body and legs now! Well, sorta...the legs aren't done yet. I mean, they only go as far down as the image shows they do. Besides that, though, I've thrown as much detail as possible into the legs, underside, and body as I was willing to tonight. Oh, yeah, and I coloured the cockpit window. Is it called a cockpit on an AT-AT?Related content

VERY nice. You can model really good. Some advice, smooth everything round / cylindrical and add an edge split modifier. It'll smooth the lines, without changing the shape or making it too high poly like a subsurf modifier will.
Either way, I feel the head is a bit small on the Z axis. It could just be the angle though. As for what it's called. I always just called it the head. But command deck, cockpit, or bridge all seem like they would be appropriate.

Thanks! Yeah, I looked at that last night, and decided I was too tired (lazy) to do it then. I may fix it tonight, as well as extending the legs to their proper height and actually attaching the head to the body (the thing doesn't have a neck yet )
As for the head, I actually scaled it down in the Z-axis to make it match the images, so if there's an issue, it's likely with the body. And yeah, I suppose I've always called it the head, too. Never was too sure what the proper term was...

No neck! That might be screwing me up as even at this angle it would be visible. I'd love to see an orthographic view if you have the time. The body is spot on as far as I can tell. I really like the blasters as well. They came out really nice.

Yeah, it may be the neck. I'll get that into place and finish the legs and basic details (hinges, pistons, the main side door, etc.), and then, if you can give me instructions on how to do an orthographic view (I have an idea of how I could do one, but I don't think it'd be the best way to do it), render one. Thanks, I was rather fond of the blasters, too! But I should have paid more attention to my reference picture, I'm going to have to redo the main ones. Not tonight, but eventually.

You know what's kinda funny? A while back I had to google how to do an orthographic shot... When you figure this one out, you think the binder thing was obvious?
Select your camera, go to the camera settings tab. Now look at the first 3 buttons on the very top... Simply set it's location and rotations to 0 then work from there.
Yeah, that's how I felt too lol.
