No Silver Bullet is the first part of a 4-part series webcomic I'm working on. I'm hoping sometime this year I have it ready to be drawn out.

The Players: Anyone, by default, who enter the city of Perdition become a Player and few are randomly picked to participate in The Chasse every week. The goal of the City is to gather enough kill-points from the game to earn the secret of immortality, and there are over 1000 Players taking part of it.

Benjamin Hayward (32) - Once a bum before getting tossed into the City (by request of someone), and selling himself as a bodyguard of Riley's in hope he'll survive and get out.
Riley Sheridan (26) - The team leader and banker, she's on the hunt of a man who killed two precious lives of hers, and now hiding in the City. She took Ben under her wing because of his ability to "heal".
Varelle Beran (16) - She and her sister were kidnapped from her family and were sent to the City. Her impressive and powerful spellcasting adds to team's arsenal.
Perryl Favreau (34) - A balanced Clone, he (like many Clones) stole the identity of others and trying to escape the City to fulfill his short life. He's completely mute.

The Employees: They are Players with privileges. By serving to both Players and Wardens, they are under the protection of the City and given many benefits for their stay. Generally, Agents (Players with a licensed business) convert to Employees after having their business run for a period of time and thorough evaluation.

Edvin Doyle (29) - He's not an Employee but an Agent, a step between Player and Employee. He controls a delivery business, sending mail and packages to dangerous areas of the City, and Riley is one of his top workers. He's a hard worker trying to reach the status of Employee.
Miller Coterill (41) - A gun shop owner, an official Employee of the City. He's a year or two away from retirement but don't plan to leave any time soon. Friendly to all but packs a punch.

The Wardens: They are Players hired by the City officials, with much more benefits than Employees, to uphold the rules, protect Employees, and monitor their assigned Zones. They are granted invulnerabilities for their risky service. Players see them as walking examples of immortality (but they are not).

Greer Lucius Avley (35) - One of the most thorough Wardens, but after an incident, he became someone you don't want to rub the wrong way. Although, there's something else off about him... He was given the Bulletproof Aura.
Lanford Harlow (38) - The friendly giant and a good friend of Miller's. He takes his job seriously and helps anyone as long they can pay his service fees. His granted ability makes him the walking scrap metal recycler.
Harriet Orlov (31) - Not much of a talker or helpful to Players, but an effective killer. Her granted ability lets her store/absorb bullets and play finger guns.
Lore Koble (28) - The tomboy and sadistic one. She loves her job and has beef against one of the Main Characters. Her granted ability makes her intangible to anything.
Aves Arwin (26) - The new kid. Friendly, naive to the job, and bird obsessive. He's granted the Birds of a Feather ability.

For Employees or Wardens to leave the City, they must spend 10 years of service. Players can only escape by paying a hefty fee or win the game. Death is an alternative for the both of them, of course.
