My entry OC for 's Samurai Duelers League.

NAME: Tobae
AGE: 38
RACE: Human

WEAPONS: Tonfas. The shaft is made out of tempered steel with a wooden core and handle, and painted mahogany. Engraved at the top of the shafts are longevity and health on the other.

BACKGROUND: (Because his background story is too fantasy, I had to change it ;3) Tobae was a village watchman, protector, guardian. Until one spearman approached him, threating to pillage the village, rape the women and burn it down into ashes. A fight quickly ensued however Tobae was struck down by the man's weapon. His home, family and friends were gone but miraculously he survived. Scraping every last preserved item of the village, he built a shrine and swore revenge on the man, bearing his weapon still in his chest.

STORY/PURPOSE: During his journey for revenge, he showed his strength and ability against thugs attacking another village and impressed one of the members of the Hachiman family, and requested him to join. Tobae hopes that by participating in the league, he will have the chance to built up his strength and end his rage with the spearman dead in his hands. But while he seeks for revenge, he learns to be human again through friendship and forgiveness from his Family-members and opponents he faces.

EXTRA: Usually accompanied with him is a purple dragonfly (if you recognize or can even see the skull pattern on his sleeve, you'll know who the dragonfly is). He normally wears his kimono properly and covers his body with the sleeve-thing on top and wishes to find more articles of clothing to cover his legs and etc. (I drew it like this so you can kind of see the spearhead). He covers the spearhead with gauze, as well the area underneath it, so it can absorb the slowly oozing blood and prevent the wound from getting any infections. Occasionally he'll go into coughing fits because the spear pierced his right lung.
