Soy Irlandes y vivo aqui en España,mas o menos, seis o ocho meses al año.Mucho gente dicen igual,que mi estilo es,como has dicho,muy Goyesco..espero que no tanto! Quizas mas en el efecto del sombra que tematica?
Despues de 16 años de ida a vuelta siento un poco de los dos Culturas ahora.

Yo veo el estilo Goyesco por la temática y por la técnica. Sobre todo la técnica quizá. Esas pinceladas me recuerdan una barbaridad a Goya..... uno de mis pintores favoritos de siempre, por cierto. Tuvo una vida muy interesante y una forma de ver y expresar el arte que se adelantaba a su tiempo. Un genio en todos los sentidos.

Yo estudio ilustración, aunque lo que realmente quiero hacer es pintar... y fotografiar. Así que entiendo "que no quieras parecerte a Goya".
Y por cierto, si quieres podemos comunicarnos en inglés....

Yes, I agree with your comments on Goya.A man so complex who lived in a time of major upheaval.It could only create work of such power in the hands of a Genius.Above all it's seen in his later paintings and the series Disasters of War and the Caprichos,which are quite terrifying.I connect a lot with him.But with many other Artists too.
No,I have no problem with my work on the level of style.I have my style of painting and that's it really.I'm a long time painting and have seen major shifts in the way I paint over the years,it's now where I want it to be but I like experimenting and it may move into something else in the future.It's exciting to see work evolve.

Yes,I always have plans to do larger versions.But the practicality of it is the space I work in here,and having to ship them too! The Larger paintings I do in Ireland.Thanks again

I don't know the name of the city, but its somewhere near the border to Portugal. Did I mention that she can speak Spanish, Portuguese and Italian on top of her native english?
