Description
i wasn't going to upload this, but i felt really bad about leaving my account so empty. this is a quick thing i did on my ipad last week to see if i could still create clouds as well as i used to.it kinda morphed into the piece you see here now. it is very messy and hastily put together, but it has good composition and i think it turned out quite well for what it is and what medium i was using.
i did not intend to make this into a fanart, but the hasty stick figure i sketched looked so much like Kibito Kai that i had to make it into him. i really have the Kaioshin on my brain at the moment (not that i'm complaining or anything). i may have to keep hacking away at this and possibly do it justice.
there is also a alternate colour version here . feel free to tell me which one you prefer

Hi I am commenting on behalf of 's tag game and my word is "fantasy"
Looking through your wonderful gallery I can understand why I was given the word "Fantasy". Your gallery is filled with such creativity and imagination it made the selection a bit of a challenge. However I ended up choosing this painting because it was just a little different than most of your pieces. It wasn't a portrait but more of a story.
Who knows why Kibito (?) is standing out there looking up into the vast sky in front of him but the composition of the piece gives you the impression that the universe is bigger than he is and Kibito is staring into that dynamic sky and wondering why that is or where he belongs in it. The sky is an absolute wonder. Your color choices and the way you've blended them is fantastic. I don't know how you used to create clouds but these clouds have so much depth to them. They appear very realistic . The purple sticks out wonderfully against the blue sky with just the right amount of light skimming the top of the puffy clouds creating some nice separation.
The only thing I might change in the painting would be the bright little dots. Are they fireflies or stars? I'm guessing stars because you have no bright dots in the foreground. However if they were stars we wouldn't be able to see them on the clouds.
Other than that small observation I think this is a wonderfully strong painting that really evokes some strong emotions for the viewer. Terrific work for something hastily put together.
Tag you are it! You are tagging one of my personal favorites, . Your tag word is "dog".
Have a great day and Happy New Year.

sorry for the late reply, been thinking a lot on what to say
first off, thank you very much for your comment! it was really helpful!
haha i try to create a little bit of a hidden story with every image i do. i'm glad it works for one of them! i'll try harder to make this happen in more of them xD
to be perfectly honest with you... i have absolutely no idea why he is there either. it's a complete and utter mystery so it seems. thank you for your compliments on the sky and clouds! as for what i used to create them... just a simple airbrush/default setting hard brush! i'm really lazy and hate having to switch between brushes etc. so i usually find one or two with the default settings that works for me the rest is simply a lot of messing around with colours until they look right. that's really all there is to it!
as for the comment on the stars, i'm assuming you're referring to the big fluffy clouds right? those were actually supposed to be nebulae that are very close to the planet, and the stringy ones atmospheric clouds. i looked up a lot of references and nebulae have stars shining through them, so i was trying to recreate that. i'll keep in mind what you said and work to create a better illusion for both the stars and the clouds though!!
there is an alternate colour version of this piece that can be found in the description. i'd be curious as to which one you prefer better!

aww sweet! i think the atmosphere is really nice =v= I can almost feel the soft breeze XD (or maybe that's just my air conditioning...)
In terms of color, i like the other picture you had better, just because the lighter purple in the clouds brings out more of a contrast. The one above feels more dull in comparison : )
