Ah, FINALLY...I get a new one up. But Corel Painter lied to me...this didn't have a "cool" tone while I was working on it! (Hmph.)

But still, here's yet another Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask piece...yet again taking place at Great Bay, but at Pinnacle Rock. Valerie (my LOZ OC) is using her Sea Dragon form to keep the Deep Pythons (as they are called in the game) or "sea snakes" off Link (as Mikau) as he dives down to the bottom of this underwater pit and into their nest to save the three Zora eggs there. ...I don't think Valerie's doing a very good job...she's only got the one.

So I guess this painting also features my redesign for the Deep Pythons. I figured that its head would stay how it is in the game and seem rocky, though I imagine it's just leathery, in order for it to blend in with most of the rocks in its territory. I kept its top-half scales the same black and electric-green, but decided to make its underbelly the colors of sand in (varying degrees of) shallow water. I decided to give this particular creature being illuminated a pair of scratch marks behind its eye and trailing onto its jawline -- signs of former battles with others of its kind. Note the sand in some of their holes; I imagine that they carry it up there in their mouths to...I dunno...make them more comfortable...?

I had a bit of fun with this -- mainly with the background and giving texture to the rocky walls. I felt like I HAD to have my first picture of the year of the snake have...well, a snake. I don't remember if there was any particular song that inspired this, but I listened to these two remixes a LOT while painting this:
