/pastes from tumblr....SELF INSERT INTO THE STEVEN UNIVERSE AU!
If I was a “gem” there, I would be a halfing like Steven. Half gem, half human. My “gem” would be a generic geode / quartz crystal! This is the image I’m using for my ref reference and color scheme.
I got the geode idea from my favorite movie, “Whisper of the Heart”. There is a scene with the grandfather and shizuku that really held close to me. So I’m applying that to myself and my gem. c:
This way I can actively enjoy the human world and experience gem like magic! And change clothes, but this would be my go-to comfy outfit.
I’ll probably make more gemsonas that look like real crystal gems, but for now this was really fitting and I love it.

uhmm, okay first rude. Please don't just come around to random people's artwork and characters and cuss them out for no good reason? Or really at all.
In 2015 there was a big prompt going around to draw yourself in the steven universe show, most people picked gemstones they liked and made a "gemsona" of themselves. I never really clicked with the purebreed gems, I related a lot more to steven himself with the conflicts of not quite being human but not quite being gem either. So to show my support of both him and myself I decided to draw myself as a halfbreed gemsona much like Steven inspired by one of my favorite movies for the gem.
Though honestly, it's my character? It was drawn one single time? None of this is your concern or business. Please don't harass random artists.

I barely ever see gemsonas that are like Steven (Half human). This is actually the only gemsona I've seen that is somewhat human. Good job on originality! I like it!
