Description
Here is possibly one of the illustrations I'm doing as a part of a commission for an RPG in the works of EriAnikemi ( ).The setting is a world ravaged by a nano-plague, causing all sorts of things to merge together (or example, centaurs are created by the merging of humans and horses).

I purposely made her neck longer because she's part horse, so this is one of the rare times where the messed up anatomy in one of my drawings was intentional.

ThereΒ΄s so many dimensions in the piece. Fantasy, action and sci-fi are only few to mention. The artwork looks very delicate and especially ladyΒ΄s gorgeous hair caught my eye.

Thanks! The real danger of drawing the rat people was illustrating them in a way that made them menacing and not humorous or goofy.
The title was a play on "Dancing with Wolves", but I don't think the rat dudes are doing so well in their dance with the centaurs.

The Rat people indeed disturbing ( not much different than a hobbit,orc or troll tho...). The Centaur girl is .... a bit arousing to me...lol not quite right ( me that is ).
The whole piece might be very cool and different if it were colored.

I intentionally made the female centaur a bit thick in the neck to kind of resemble that of a horse's neck, which most of her human body replaced.

EriAnikemi came up with the idea that centaurs might exist in this world where people merge with animals or objects. Her main guideline is that the people, after merging, maintain their human faces, even if their bodies underwent radical changes. Thus, the woman has a very thick neck, horse's ears, and a horse's body but still possesses the face of a human.
The rat and armadillo people I created, answering that age old question of what happens when you cross a rat and a human.
