Did some careful burning and dodging to bring out elements that i thought were getting lost in the blown out highlights and deep shadows... it was a very contrasty light that day

Changed the photo to a colored version, I think it gives it more feeling.

i go to the city all the time and saw that guy.
it was like pooring rain and he was wearing pretty much nothing. it was sad.

One sees "help" and immediately thinks of money, and less of the human affect and love, that shot really makes you wonder what kind of help do humanity needs.

That's a very emotive image. I love it!!
Most people would walk past him and not even look.
A National Geographic photographer took a photo of a little boy whose sheep had just been ran over. The sheep were his families only income, so now his family had nothing. Similar emotions your images gives.
It was an award winning print.
A couple of years later the photographer went back with money National Geographic readers had donated and bought the family the biggest flock of sheep in the town.
All because the photographer wanted to thank the little boy.
