I'm sorry she lost her eye, but at least the eye patch gives her something that is unique to her now.

I guessed it was permanent too. It doesn't look 'medical' enough to be a temporary one. It looks like something expensive that she had to go out and buy specially as a long term thing. Perhaps she bought it from 's Loli?!

You'd have to ask her I suppose! What else does Loli sell? If she didn't have that contact already she might appreciate a source for specialty braces/medical equipment in the future!

Fragile Beginnings
Gwen slowly and somewhat painfully climbed the stairs to her new apartment, following in the path of one of the members of the removal company who were unloading boxes of her stuff from the van outside. Gwen was leaning on a cane, which she accepted made her look rather odd, but she had only had a long-term plaster cast removed from around her left foot two days before, and the ankle was still stiff and her foot painful from moving again after its long confinement in plaster. She had already nearly injured it again twice that day, once slipping over in the shower and once by knocking it against a pile of boxes that were waiting to be moved.
Tired of living on her own and looking to save up some money, Gwen had answered an advertisement in a local paper from someone looking to house-share. They had corresponded by e-mail but Gwen had never actually met the person she would be moving in with. She seemed nice, however, judging by her correspondence, although
