Description
Since Cyare's map is based on a region in NZ, I decided to make 3 Fanmon based on NZ animals as national mascots.

From L to R:

WETAKET - Bug - Based on the Weta, a large bush cricket, in which 70 species are endemic to NZ. Wetaket uses it's sharp claws to climb tree trunks and forage through fallen leaves on the forest floor for food. They may look intimidating but are harmless and quite timid.

TUATRIA - Psychic - Based on the Tuatara, a unique reptile, that has lived since prehistoric times. It has three eyes because Tuatara are known to have a hidden third eye called a 'parietal eye'. It's purpose is unknown, but Tuatria uses it to sense various wavelengths. It also remains closed most of the time.

KIWERN - Normal/Flying - Based on the famous Kiwi. It holds a rare silver-coloured fern that is only found in deep forests of Cyare. The fern contains various spores and powders, which Kiwern uses as self defense when frightened. It also gives it attacks a bird Fanmon wouldn't normally have, such as Sleep Powder and Vine Whip.
