Well that was a dreadful process... But at least it's done and over with.

And yet, it had to happen late in to the night. Jane was practically screaming bloody murder when it was time to lay the egg. Her horrific cries woke up Rudo and Kilganon whom were asleep when they heard Jane's screeching. They even rushed to her to make sure nothing was wrong.

When it was over she told the boys that everything would be fine and that they should go back to bed and that she'll handle the rest. Despite how unpleasant it was not too long ago...

An hour has passed. Jane was sitting on the couch contemplating about the egg. The color it inherited reminded her of him... She could barely even look at the thing without it bringing up the memories of an ex-childhood friend. Mixed emotions were running in and out of her mind. She would feel anger, disappointment, sorrow, vexation- Jane didn't like it. She didn't like feeling that way. Towards the egg. A child that is still unborn.

Jane thought she knew what she was going to do with the egg at first when the question was brought up by one of her sons. But seeing as it inherited the father's color while reminding her how much he hurt her since that day, she can't keep it around.

If the child was to be born and cared for by the brown female, chances are she'd likely take her emotions out on it. If she were to do that the child itself could grow up to be an unpleasant individual in the future. The one to blame for its behavior would only be the parent of said child.

That type of guilt and responsibility would be a crushing weight on Jane to bear. She's not looking for anything that might lead to more wounds in her heart. It will become unbearable.

There's no other choice. The egg cannot stay in the household. It deserves a parent who'll care for it properly and give it all the love it deserves. Jane wouldn't be able to provide that for the unborn baby. It has the blood of its father after all. Who knows what type of personality it might take after.

Jane heaved a deep sigh. It'll be disappointing for her sons to actually know what would've been like to help raise a baby Wyngling. Maybe when they become adults they'll see for themselves or when Jane wants to have another child of her own to actually keep. For now, only time will tell.

By the time it hits dawn, Jane will take the egg and drop it off at the Nook. She prays that whomever adopts the egg will give it the care and love that it deserves.

As much as she'd like to keep the egg around, she can't afford any painful reminders that'll continue to resurface if it were to be in her presence...

"Forgive me, my baby..."
