This is something I've been wanting to make for a long time.Star Vs the Forces of Evil Has become a new favorite of mine. Its such a fun little show, with some good humor and great animation. I especially love the two leads; they play off each other perfectly in any situation.
Blood Moon Ball is probably my favorite episode so far. It has just the right amount of humor and serious character moments. I thought the ending was particularly good. If you've seen the episode, you know what I mean.
I imagine after the events of the evening (and some nacho) Star and Marco decide to have their own Blood Moon Ball. Star seemed pretty impressed with Marco's dance skills. Can't let 'em go to waste.
So... Starco. Honestly, I'm on the fence. I've seen similar "opposite gender best friends become lovers" scenario in cartoons before, to the point of it being kind of cliche. On one hand I'd like to see the show keep the characters just friends. Because that happens; people can just be friends with members of the opposite sex.
On the other hand... I can totally see this happening. Two people with their personalities getting together makes sense. Several episodes imply that there's something deeper than friendship between them and BMB especially pours it on thick. And, I'll admit, a lot of Starco art out there is freaking adorable. If they get together: great! If they don't: great!
I wanted to make this image where it could go either way. It could be a romantic moment between two star-crossed lovers (no pun intended) or it could just be two friends having fun. You decide!

Well, she was barefoot at the end (She even threw her boots over the railing) so I figured she'd stay that way later on. I'm a stickler for little details like that.

I love this duo's relationship wherever it goes. Not all boy-girl friendships will turn romantic but the person you fall in love with should be someone you can be friends with.

I think if you're going to spend the rest of your life with someone (or at least a good chunk of it) you pretty much need to be friends.

You also need to be the right kind of friend. Take the Golden Trio of "Harry Potter". The boys are both close friends with Hermione. However Harry responds to her trying to argue by shutting down, not realizing she sees arguments as a way to hash things out. Ron gets that. Funnily enough, there's a version of Harry in a fanfic AU that could make a good match for Hermione...only they've been raised as siblings. The two of them end up with their canon love interests.

You may be right. I personally could go either way with them too, but I do like the idea of them being together. I do have a rather dark and disturbing theory about it though, I will admit, I think someone else did say this before I thought of it, but my thought was that maybe Marco (and if you haven't seen the season finale, or any of the episodes with Toffee, I'm sorry for spoiling this.) and I don't have too much solid evidence for this, but what if Toffee is Marco from the future, and he set this up somehow for his own selfish ends? You remember how that monster arm of Marco's may not have been completely eliminated, and what if it comes back, but works its evil power in a different way than what we've seen before, and turns Marco into toffee? A creature of darkness and evil, but also of cunning and suaveness, who wants to destroy the magic wand and kingdom of Mewni because that's just what he does because he's so evil now? On the other hand, maybe he made star cleave the wand like she did to not destroy the wand, but to destroy all its magic that it had done up until that point? So that he could be free from his monstrous form, and there was no other way to do it? So he had to go to Ludo and his minions because it was the only way he could play everyone and everything to him being free from that monster he'd become, and maybe he did that for star so he wouldn't be that way for her in the future, because he loves her so much. What do you think of all that?
