This is Nera's personal nightmare, one she's had seance Amenii joined the force.
She had a very. Very. Bad day.

Cross fire, she was taken by surprise in a flanking maneuver and before she could get to cover she was hit.
To her credit, she stayed conscious enough to trank her assailant, but not much else.

She was rushed to the hospital, suffered extreme blood loss, but was stabilized. The doctors claimed she was very lucky, as the bullet had passed through her, rather than lodging within. The bullet missed her heart by mere fractions of an inch.

Thankfully the doc did manage to save her lung, for which she is quite grateful. This little incident left her in the hospital for some time though.Β
