In response to your question here, it all depends on what you're trying to convey.Β If it's the idea of the cuddle, then the simple background works best.Β If it's the idea that they're in a "socially unacceptable" relationship, predator and prey in love with each other, then the background show, somehow, convey that.

i like it better with the other background, it was warmer because of the colors and more comfy

In a seance I like how it gives the piece that warm fuzzy feeling, and context, I just hope it doesn't pull from the center of attention, Nera and Amenii to much.

Green is already nera's color i dont think adding red would have created a christmas theme. It would have required more visuals details.

It doesnt pull from the characters at all. It gives an extra comfy feelings even. Like if the background where helping them snuggle by heating the scene visually
