‘No it is not.’ Nera grumbled, holding her coffee cup to her chest in both hands. Her dreaded mane of hair cascading all around her face like a beached octopus as she shot a look at her phone. ‘In fact, it’s only forty degrees out!’
‘I know, it’s so warm!’ Amenii, practically bouncing on her heals replied. ‘We should go out, think how fun it will be.’

Nera, trying to remember if she had put anything in the coffee that may induce such insanity regarded her lover over the rim of her cup. ‘Let’s not.’

‘But summer is here!’ Amenii’s giddy energy bubbling out of her as she began to dance around the room, spinning over furniture with ease. ‘Summer, Nera! Summer!’

Her gaze shifting to her now half drained cup of coffee, Nera made a note to switch to decaf. Immediately. And maybe add a few horse tranquilizers to the blend as well.

‘Bunnies.’ She muttered, as she lumbered her way back to the bedroom. ‘I’ll be under the covers until this episode passes.’
