I just got a new hookah today (4/6) and my animation teacher bet me I couldn't model and render it in one class, so I took the challenge! lolCompletion time was around 1h50min.
There is still quite a bit of work to be done, mostly texturing, but I think it's looking good so far.
Made with Autodesk Maya 2010 and rendered with Mental Ray.

The twist was fun to make because it was kind of a challenge, but easy once I figured it out.
The chrome in this render is probably the most realistic looking I've done so far, I can't wait to add the details to the vase and make the hoses!
Also, it smokes great!
