Gorgeous shot!
The color scheme is simple yet beautiful, and its contrast with the silhouettes powerful. The fact that this transition occurs right about the center of the image gives it a sense of simplicity.
The eye seems to train to the patch of bright obscured by the tree, and it's from that point that one's can get a glimpse of all the elements that make this image really work.
This would make a really nice wallpaper.
