Every ninja down in Konoha knew who Himawari loved...
But her brother, the Hokage’s proud son, won’t approve!
Boruto hated Metal Lee! The whole clan he belonged to!
Now, please don't ask why. Not even Hinata knew.
It could be his head wasn't screwed on just right.
It could be, perhaps, that his headband was too tight.
But I think that the most likely reason of all,
May have been that he protected his sister way too much.

Whatever the reason, his headband or shoes,
He stood there on Lover’s Day Eve, hating taijutsu,
Staring down from the Hokage monument, Boruto frown,
at the Uzumaki young gal, knitting a scarf in her room.
For he knew every girl down in Konoha beneath,
was busy now, dreaming on their beloved each.
"And yet that idiot isn’t here today!" he snarled with a sneer,
"He went on a mission when he should be here!"

Then he growled, with his shinobi fingers nervously drumming,
"I MUST find some way to avoid those two meeting!"
For tomorrow, he knew, her sister would be filled with joy,
would wake bright and early. She'd rush for her boy!
And then! Oh, the scarf! Oh, the scarf!
Scarf! Scarf! Scarf!
That's one thing he hated! The SCARF!

Then Father Lee, the hot-blooded fool, would invite her to train.

"Why worrying so much? By my side is daddy!”

But, since Hinata was busy, they could plan it all loud.
“What is the plan Boruto?” Naruto simply said,
"I think he is free tomorrow, what about a mission instead?"
So Naruto called Rock Lee. Then asked him to go to the desert,
And asked his team to investigate there for the whole weekend.
Then he wrote a letter to make it official and all that,
and sent it to TenTen so she wouldn’t ask.

Then the Uzumaki said, "Horray!" And cheered all afternoon,
Walked home together and stared at decorations in town.
All windows were decorated. Quiet snow filled the air.
All maidens were dreaming sweet dreams without care.
When they came to the biggest house on the square.
"This is Akimichi manor," the blond Hokage hissed,
And they looked through the window, but saw nothing at fist.

There was a figure by the chimney. Her pajamas were pink
ChoCho was knitting, and getting angrier while doint it.
She tried to knit Mitsuki, (I mean the name, you fools)
Then dropped the whole thing to the fireplace, and felt blue.
She opened a box of chocolates, ate five in a row.
"This silly scarf," she grinned, "I’ll just buy one tomorrow!"
Then she slithered and slunk, with a smile most unpleasant,
Around the whole room, she ate all the desserts!

Akimichi! Uchiha! Yamanaka! Hyuga!
Aburame! Inuzuka! Sarutobi! And Nara!
And the same with all clans. Their girls were all working,
Stuffing the presents bags, no matter how clumsy!
Humming love songs or just imitating the beat.
And even in the Lee clan! They wanted to surprise their beasts!
In getting ready they’ve put all their heart.
Why, that determination also existed in the Uzumaki clan!

Hinata at home was knitting something with glee.
"And NOW!" smiled the woman, "I will make dinner for thee!"
And Hinata stopped knitting, and she started to cook,
then they heard a small sound like the coo of a dove.

The Uzumaki boys were now facing Himawari, the daughter,
Who'd got out of her room for a cup of cold water.
She stared at her father and said, "Daddy, tell me”
"Will Metal return tomorrow in time? Will he?"
But, you know, her brother was so smart and so slick,
he brought up the lie, and he answered so quick!
"Sorry, my sweet little tot," Boruto soon lied,
"There was an emergency at the desert and he’ll spend there the week."

"So you can stop working on that scarf, my dear."
"He’s working hard there, he just can’t be here."
And his lie saddened the child. Then he patted her head,
And he got her a drink and he sent her to rest.
And when Himawari left the room all sad with her cup,
He started wondering if he had messed up!
Then the looked at his dad and realized he was crying much!

Then he went up to his room, all by himself.
There were pictures of his sister all over the book-self.
And the only sound he could hear in the house,
Was a little girl’s cry that sounded like a mouse.
Then he remembered all the effort put in the other houses
, and imagined all those girls crying like mouses!
It was quarter past dawn... he just sat in his bed,
and thought about his sister crying in the room at the left.

They changed their mind and called next morning! No answer!
No Rock! Or Metal! His team-mates! They were silent!
They got out of the house! They went to see TenTen,
she was so mad that hit them with her present!
"Uzumaki, you fools!" she was constantly shouting.
"Lying to a wife about her husband not coming!"
"Come closer now! I’ll tell you what to do!"
"We’ll find them in just a second or two,
So that cute child of yours can stop crying boohoo!"

"That’s something," grinned Boruto, "That I simply MUST see!"
So she grabbed the boy and summoned a scroll around him.
And in a second they were no longer at the store.
The climate was hot. There was sand at the floor.
And Team Rock was there! All of them looking merry!
And the man then stood! “You summoned yourself deary?”
Boruto had just being summoned! The boy popped his eyes!
Then he shook and told everyone the shocking surprise!

The members of the team, the tall and the small,
Frowned and asked TenTen to transport them all!
Boruto HADN'T stopped Lover’s day from coming! IT CAME!
And he leart that the Lee clan was in fact quite great!
And Naruto puzzled when in the store they all showed,
stood puzzling and puzzling: "How could this be so?"
"Enough with questions!" – answered the green man
"There’s a little girl waiting sad with a scarf!"

Metal was the first who took off from the store.
Arrived at Uzumaki manor and knocked at the door!
"Good morning madam!" he said "Is Himawari at home?”
"I need her byakugan to train a bit more!"
And what happened then? Well...there’s no need to say,
Metal and Himawari spent training all day!
She gave him the scarf but put it too tight,

Then they went to have lunch and took a picture during the feast!
