Sehr schΓΆnes HDR!

This is tonally superb, and compositionally.....beautiful work.....and you clearly know what you are doing! You are the type of HDR'er that I would love to take lessons with........Bravo on photograph.

Thank you very much. And I'm still improving my HDR technique. It's very simple to get on this stage (if you haven't got a really cheap point&shot cam), read my newst journal, there's an introduction how I'm doing my HDR pics.

Thank you for the info.....and I did have a quick read of your journal and bookmarked it for "later reading"......I use the Nikon D200, and it handles .RAW.....I only ever use raw files any way.....I shall stop by again later....thank you again....and fav your photograph is my pleasure...I hope to browse again very soon.

Oh, that is not a picture with a single exposure. It was stacked of six pictures with different exposure times: 13s, 4s, 1.3s , 1/3s, 1/8s and 1/25s. In Postprocessing these images are merged to this result.

Ah, HDR. How exactly are they post-processed once taken and moved onto the computer? Do you just use layers and opacity in Photoshop?

OK, I think I really have to write this down in my journal, because you're not the first one asking
I use a freeware tool "Picturenaut", I found it at a german dslr-forum. There you choose the pictures and it generates a HDR, the you can choose between different Tonemappers in Picturenaut to convert it back from 32 to 8 Bit. Afterwards I enhanced the contrast in The Gimp.
Feel free to ask more if I forgot something.
