Until further notice, Lanus are a Closed Species! Please do not make your own!Basics: Lanus are rather small and nimble creatures, despite their rounded bellies. They have two slit nostrils on either side of their muzzles and large eyes, with a smaller set above. The white eyes are used to see magical essence in the areas nearby. Their ears have a tough material on the inside that is used to absorb soundwaves. Lanus can hear things from farther away than most creatures, due to their extremely large ears.

Known For: They are most known in their groups for venturing into treetops to locate things such as needed materials, magic/food, and even to warn eachother of nearby predators. They can easily climb trees or other high-up locations due to their frog-like back legs.

Diet: Lanus consume magic through the orb on the end of their tails. The orb acts like a beacon for the magic, drawing it in from rather long distances.

Reproduction: Lanus live in polyamorous relationships, like a lot of RUMETH creatures do. The groups of mates stick together for all of their lives. They have no specific genders and can mate with as many in their partnerships as they want to. To create a baby Lanus the parents must absorb high quantities of magic into their tail orbs. Once they are ready, they release the energy by each other. This mixes the magic and their DNA in the air and will create an egg. The whole group of Lanus will raise the egg, no matter how many of the mates actually helped make it. The egg will hatch between two and four weeks, and a baby Lanus will reach adult hood roughly two years after it hatches. However, they typically stay with their parents for anywhere between two and five years. Some stay with or near their family for their whole lives.

Variations: They can have different shaped tails and orbs! It is also possible for them to have manes, hairstyles, and for them to wear accessories. NOTE: Not all of the variations are drawn on the sheet, only a few examples are given! Species belongs to coldioc and RUMETH !!
