THank you so much! We have bunches of them here, but it is so quite here they spook really easy. It makes it hard to get close!Β

I be more of a ferret person.

Β I do like snakes, and do my best to keep them out of harms way when I can. The big ones tend to like me because I am warm, but as soon as they are warm enough they are off exploring. Β

I prefer ferrets to snakes as well, I used to have a sable, a silver, and an albino. Two boys and a girl, and they were the joys of my life!

I think in total I have had 7 ferrets. Waiting on the right time to get some more in my life.

Yeah, I want to get more as well. But it is making sure that I have the time, resources, and money to take proper care of them. Right now I have 2 dogs and 4 cats, to take care besides the 6 horses. I don't want any of them lacking for care, love, or food. so for now I have to wait.

At pne point I had four ferrets, five cates, and one bearded dragon in the house. Special circumstances, most were rescues. Now down to one cat that belongs to my housemates, but thinks I am his lounger and scritch slave.

Both my dogs were rescues, they were on a kill list because they are part pit. Both are lab/pit, black with white on the chest, and all love.Β

Yeah, they get a bum rap. And I know that there is a 'better to put down then allow adoption' mentality fostered in shelters and vet offices for the breed. Sad.Β Β

Most of my pets have been rescues the last couple of decades. Ferrets, cats, and dragons! Oh my! Β

Thank you! No they are safe to handle, but you may need to wash your hands after. They have a defense where they urinate a nasty smelling liquid, it will make most predatorsΒ let go!Β  Β

Gently blow on their nose, they will lift their head and flick their tongue for you as well. (Trade secret from an old snake charmer, don't tell anyone)! LOL

LOL Nope never had it happen yet, just give them a little room. They can't resist sniffing the wind, it is their favorite newspaper!
