Description These chilling yokai (ghost) watercolor/pen & ink drawings are from Japanese artists hundreds of years ago. The four scrolls I compiled were drawn sometime in the 1700s (don't have the exact name on the artists, sorry). Japanese art and monsters/ghosts have always been sources of inspiration for me, so I naturally loved this old yokai art when I was exposed to it a few years ago. I'd like to do a quick yokai drawing of my own sometime in the future as an homage to this drawing style that was way ahead of its time. Remember the movies The Ring and The Grudge? Freaky imagery like that is a staple in Japan and has been for hundreds of years, as you can see!

Let me know if you'd like an 11x17" printout of this.

Hah, yeah, they really are creepy huh? It almost seems like the ghosts have a life of their own and can float right out of the screen at any minute!
