Description
A study that turned into a simple illustration. My father feeding a beast in the swedish country sidePlaying around with my mark making, trying to relax a little bit more and put down fewer strokes but in correct places. Not there yet but very interesting test for me.
Thanks for looking!

Really nicely done. Had to pull it into PS and check it out in greyscale. Your control of value via subtle hue gradation is rrrrridiculous.Β

Thanks man. For pieces like these I rely heavely on references to get it as close as I can to a realistic light conditions. The image looks rather simple but let me tell you, it took quite a while

Dude, I bet. Good rule of thumb, if it looks simple it took days of hair pulling- if not years of hair pulling on a multitude of failed attempts.
Anyway. Keep up the good workΒ Β

That there is pretty bad ass. Love the lighting! You can almost smell the heat of the sun on the grass.

Reminds me of Simon StΓ₯lenhag's work . Except with cthuloid beasts instead of machines.
