The Cray X-MP was a supercomputer designed, built and sold by Cray Research. It was announced in 1982 as the "cleaned up" successor to the 1975 Cray-1, and was the world's fastest computer from 1983 to 1985.Link to Alternate: [link]

Both. Just Google Image search "Cray x-mp". As the description says, this was a super computer from the early 80s. I think it's the coolest looking computer ever.

I've seen it before. It was on the DVD extras for the movie Last Starfighter.

It is an actual computer. It is , in fact, THE computer that "The Last Starfighter" was modeled and rendered on.

I remember that now. I saw that movie about 2 or 3 years ago. They had a bit about that computer on the DVD in the extras.
