Description "I don't CARE if his if he's not feeling good, he hadn't had his medications yet, or his left hoof suddenly have a mind of its own and calls itself 'The Bob'. Tell him that if he doesn't get his hindquarters up here on the double, I will personally feed it to him!"

This is done as a commission for StarbuckCloudhoof. Great guy too! He gave me full reign for his commission, so this is what I came up with. Hope you enjoy the bit of an indulgence in the environment.

Ms Hackney, "And that's how our ancestor settled Ponyland."

On a cliff-side, a gang of raiders readies to pounce upon their latest prey. High above, the vultures begin to circle with expectation...

And then dragons allied with the Princesses swoop in and devour the raiders, leaving the pony settlers unharmed and still on their journey.

Any raider who wasn't eaten was carried off to the dragon nests--hatchlings needed to eat too, after all. Once they quit playing with their food, that is.

Far up ahead, a sandstorm is building up. But it was not just any normal sandstorm, however; in these desert lands, unpredictable wild magic can interact with the earth and the air, and under the right circumstances can build up to spectacular and terrifying results. Coming out from the desert was an once-in-a-century meteorological horror: the Razor Storm. Within the storm, great currents of wind could propelled the sands and fine rocks at such great speeds it flayed the flesh of all living things, reducing them to smoking skeletons within moments. Like it has a life of its own, a razor storm would devour all in its path, leaving nothing but lifeless, friction-scorched wasteland in its wake.Β

All the buffalo tribes which had seen the signs had already left for safety. All other living things had fled, driven to flee by mind-numbing terror. To the ponies in the wagon train, however, wouldn't know; to them, it looked no different from any other sand storm, and there wasn't yet a sand storm that had deterred them from their determination to reach their destination.

Thus, assured of the path to their promised land, they march ever onward, towards their doom...

It's like "The Oregon Trail", but up to eleven.

If they somehow survive this one, things are only to going to get worse. CanΒ YOU save this group of settlers?Β Will they survive to reach their promised land, or are they doomed to die a horrible death in the unknown and merciless frontier?

This needs to be a game.
NOW.

If "Victoria 2" can have a playable Equestria on 19th Century Earth, we can have a ponified "Oregon Trail".

Get on it, modders!

That would be interesting.

I was going to escalate to giant sandworms and poisonous fruits that make ponies bleed to death from all their orfices, if someone wrote a way for the ponies to survive the Razor Storm.

Meanwhile, I linked the pic to Trooper924 and he had to pony settlers befalling a fate on par with HP Lovecraft...

If there's ALL THAT waiting for them...wherever they're trying to reach must be a damn nice place.

It BETTER be. If it's anything like the first Earth from Battlestar Galactica (2004-2009 TV series) ...Β
