watercolor and black gouache on paper, 32x24 cm, september 2014I like the sky a lot, definitely my best sunset painting so far. I will have to practice trees though.

I donβt remember if I told you about painting trees or not. One watercolor artist wrote somewhere that artists shouldnβt try to paint trunks and branches of trees as straight as in reality or on the photograph because itβs boring. Curves look better and they give individuality to the pictures, so he recommended painting branches as curvy as possible. You put this rule into practice painting the fence and it was right, a new even fence looks good only on photos.Β
