[link] she's basically this. you know all those characters that half of the fandom hates, and the other one loves? she is a deliberate example of one of those, and the result is a fascinating, complex (and meeeeeeeeeeean) character. she is made to make half of the fandom hate her, and the other one simply ADORe her. and it works.

basiclly, this is vriska Serket. She's a manipulative, mean and sadistic girl, which pressures herself to succeed and be in the spotlight. She alternates between being a sadistic jerk to being a jerk with a heart of gold, and has problems coping with her emotions.
