Hey, just stumbled across your page and thought I should point out that the opposite happened in my country (the UK). Following the Russian revolution and the general strike, the government decided to control guns in the 1920s, for fear of a socialist uprising.
Anyway, your cartoons are ok- although it's always difficult to mix humour and propaganda. I just wish I could live in your world- where only innocent people carry guns and muggers just have knives

Erm, what phone? And since when was Britain socialist? Yes, we have better healthcare than the US (World Health Org stats [link] ) but that's pretty much it.
As for the loss of empire, some historians have suggested that the two world wars played a part, lol. If it wasn't for the battle of Britain, and US and Soviet help, we might not even have a country.

I'd just like to point out that as far as I can see, everything I'm finding says that, dispite the gun control laws, the UK still has quite a bit of gun violence. Face it, Criminals don't buy guns legally. Laws only affect law-abbiding citizens.

Maybe, although I think there's a lot of media hysteria here over guns. To give a comparison: there were 42 gun deaths in Britain in 2008 according to The Independent . Whereas, in 2004, there were 81 in the US on an average day NY Times . Sorry I couldn't get any more recent figures.
