i DESPISE the 'new' broadway version. It was originally new age bi-lingual w/c slaughtered Leonard Berstein's music, but due to the poor reviews, they reverted to the original lyrics. I just don't "BUY" that these two cast members are supposedly in love...
I love the idea. I would've loved to see the original Natalie Wood and Richard Beymer embodied here. 
But that's JUST me.

good job. i can really see the emotion in this picture. in terms of making tony look more beat up, i would say just darken the bruises. and darken the shadows. i sometimes think its too much when i'm painting it, but then it ends up looking really good
