PLEASE FULL VIEW Dxok so on Facebook... it's that 1 year anniversary to have Pokemon icons... so I decided to draw Kizaru as a Pikachu. I KNOW. It's been done a million times... actually it should've been Eneru but since Kizaru's fruit is pika pika no mi... I HAD TO.
So this is my facebook icon right now... probably not for long I'm not happy at all with how this turned out. I feel the shading is horrid and the lighting is worse xD; ughhnnnn sometimes you take a few steps back before you go forward right?
Kizaru is (c) Eiichiro Oda I just drew this... omg... crack
so yeah if you guys would like to suggest colors for shading skin... or something like that... that would be awesome ;_;

what makes this even more hilarious to me is that pika in icelandic(Píka <-uses a í insted of a i....(yet they both pronounce the same tone in the word)) means pussy...and then i ain't talkin about n cats

What a fabulous facebook icon for pokemon icons XD! I think it's wondrously done... you're SO good at his expression... and get just the right poochieness to his lips and the right slant to his eyes and make all the wrinkles look like they belong. And the lighting all looks right to me... (not that I know much, but I thought I'd say so) And I love how the light beam radials out into the white bg... that's epic.
The cheeks really do tie it together though It makes me think piKAchuuu! Have you ever seen the youtube vid with an interview with the voice actress? It's bizzare to watch: this cute little asian lady with pikachu's voice coming out of her mouth XD! Kizaru as the voice of pikachu would be... needless to say a sharp deviation from the norm. But a funny as hell deviation all the same XD!

I wish I knew enough about Copics to be helpful beyond 'try searching the tutorials section' cus you've probably looked. OTL I tend to darken watercolours with pale browns, might be worth a test though?
This is still win though. The effect with the radiating sparkle border thing looks so damn cool. (And those little red pika-cheeks are as cute as hell. XD)

Have you tried to shade with brown?
But anyways. This Kizaru is still as much win as it was in the first time I saw him as pikachu. Because Pokemon never gets older. And One Piece gets old neverer.

Also when doing markers, purples and blues are worth a try. Especially purples, at least I've heard >w<
