Once you have purchased UF, join the UF Mail List. There is SO much good information there, tons of help and ideas, and lots of good advice, both technical and artistic! I give huge credit for everything I've learned to people on that mail list.
The other tip is to take the Working with UltraFractal class given by Janet Parke. Information at [link] . The January class is already filled, but get on the waiting list for the March class. It's awesome and Janet does a superb job.
