I've always lacked the diction to explain how much I love the work that you guys do, so the most that I can do now is to try speaking from the heart and hope that my subconscious is a better artist than I X3
It is this kind of stuff that makes me want to live in the world of Southwinds. The mixture of avian anatomies, beautiful science, and wondrous emotional depth that makes me gush about the world of Southwinds. Everything designed for birds, and the birds seeking both wisdom and knowledge...all of this feels so well expressed with little to no words, and this is why I love this pic ^V^

Very beautiful work, specially on the sci-fi-esque effects, I probably wouldn't be able to pull something like this off.
The hooded lady is awfully pretty, even if serious looking.
Though I have no idea who could be there in the hologram. As far as I can tell, that is not a very happy looking hologram.

Uhm...that might work? or better yet, just make it a fantasy story with science fiction elements incorporated to expand the influence of the story's premise as well as well...have ghosts xD because anything goes in Science Fantasy, really. It's quite literally the genre with no limits...literally.

Oh please tell us this bird will be revealed. Very intriguing look. The hood and the neck rings seem to go so well together. But the eyes, I think, are the most striking. The way you blend the colors and shading really are superb, and seems to convey both the sense of wonder and concern.
And that ancilla, what can I say... I was sort of hoping to see something like that for a long time, and boy is it glorious to behold. It is both clear that the influence of what it draws upon is very prominent in thought, but the shapes and styles make it shine out as something wholly your own. Really cool touch with the eyes, too.
That star chart, too, is a work of art all in itself. Not that it's rocket science or anything, though, eh? ^v^
All in all, this is amazing, bro. Like two days worth of awesome in one.

And yeeeees this will be revealed, and soon =vO Hopefully the intrigue will match the reveal ^v^
There is a distinctive elegance with neck wear (Mati's little V necklace for that matter is another example I think ^v^') and those eyes.... wonder if it harkens back to the original intent of this piece (I'll tell ya about it sometime) before it changed to something a little more ominous and intriguing.
The ancilla too, something I've been trying to work in somehow for a while...seems the opportunity worked out quite well. Funny how all this art is left to such chance in the sketch phase ^v^' don't know what its gonna be til much later, so this little glowy holographic bird was a fairly recent inclusion to the whole piece - and on the off chance that it felt right to add too at some point after the main hooded bird was already inked up and colored ^v^'

I think it's just the spacey-ness combined with all the holographic interfaces. The outfit on the bird also has a similar aesthetic. It's very awesome.
