Huh, you do realize that both Leafpool and Spottedleaf are described as small in the books, and they are small compared to other she-cats while Jayfeather is small compared to other toms. Since toms are inherently much larger than she-cats, this would make him larger than them and about the same size as most she-cats.

Jayfeather is a fictional character and this is a personal interpretation of the character for fun i.e. it literally does not matter to me whether he's bigger or smaller than anybody in canon or wherever because it's art I'm doing for fun. Cinderpelt and Yellowfang should also be smaller or the same size as Leafpool according to canon but, again, it doesn't matter to me.

Idk man, It's just fanart. if people wanna draw him orange, which honestly might make more sense than blue-grey considering his parentage, then it's all good. Character redesigns are really common in all fandoms, even complete revamps.
I don't see why a line has to be drawn in terms of design? It's not like we're paid to draw these. I'd see your point if it was a commission or a character concept meant to fit certain requirements for a job, but this is just for fun. It would be strange if someone drew JF red, yeah, but it's really a matter of just leaving it be if you don't like it.
It's like the whole debacle with eye color in the Warriors fandom. It's not as common as years ago, but some people go ballistic if someone draws lets say Scourge with the wrong eye color. It's such a minor thing and really shouldn't matter. It's just for fun and it's not like it's gonna change canon or anything.
A great example, speaking of Scourge is Climb's albino!female!Scourge AU. They redesigned Scourge for fun by making him female and completely white, and it's a really interesting interpretation of the character.
At the end of the day, its just people having fun. No one's saying you have to like fan-designs or accept it as the only or true way a character should be, because it's just harmless fun, especially in a fandom of mostly children and young teens.
Really, if you're unhappy with other designs for the characters, all the more reason to create your own! It's a great exercise in character and concept if you're looking into making it a career like I am or just wanna throw your hat in the ring :3

Like Leafpool sees a living cat with a with a white-tipped tail in a Moonpool visit and for like 3 chapters Alderheart is freaked out by Leafpool just staring at him and then Bramblestar is like "ah yeah you suck go be a med cat because my sister in law says so"
