This particular photo took me several hours and a lot of editing to get this end result. My texturing and blending is a little shabby but overall I'm quite pleased with the end result

Wow! This is really impressive...the moiré pattern is very subtle and well distributed. The highlightinh from the orb is great as well...great job

You should see how this changed from the original. The original looks nothing like this. I had to start by grayscaling the photo, using Picasso to add that dot feature (called comic print) then I used copy/pasted existing areas and blended to remove the background Of the photo(this was originally shot in someone's home) then I had a lot of blending to do and I then used paint to clean up a lot of lines and areas, then I used reverse photo copying to get the orb completed and a lot of work cleaning that up and making it look good. (hint the original item I was holding was an oval shaped ceiling light) and I had to finish with more blending and cleaning up the lines of the orb. Overall, it took quite a bit of time but I'm very happy with the results
