Interesting. It is coming across a bit fuzzy on my end, so I would have suggested sharpening it a bit. Not sure of what else to say because I think Ratafluke has said it all

Oh, you scrapped it? Wasn't this in the contest when I looked at my watchlist yesterday? I'm not so much a fan of the lighting there, the contrasts are very harsh with the book & dress overexposed in places, and the mask and background being so dark. Maybe the light would turn out better if you wore dark clothes and a dark-covered book to match the mask. Or is the dress (or even the lighting) intentional?

At any rate the idea is pretty cool; I only took a short look at the contest, but it looks more creative than many other entries. The mask reminds me of Greek theater (even though the shells indicate otherwise) so you look to me like an actor declaiming lines during rehearsal. Perhaps it means you like theater, reading, and the classical period? I kinda think it is some other mask though, but I can't really place it.
It's somewhat paradoxical (and that makes it interesting) to put a mask on your face for an autoportrait - but even that can reveal things about yourself, e.g. that you like to hide behind masks... or maybe just plain that you are fond of this particular mask ;]
