Nice Shot!!

And not just because it's my back yard and fav ski spot (not to mention summer playground too, I live here) either.

On the comment about the trees looking black someone made,... well thats how it is when you take photos of snow-scaped vistas
with an overcast sky. The only way to overcome this is by using filters or extensive post working of the photo.

Anyway, enjoy your time there. Perhaps might pas you on the slopes one day,... Ill be the one in the cowboy hat, leather jacket,
and flying past you at 90 mph screaming my war indian (I am half Native American) hoots. lol.

Keep up the good work.

Peace Up!

You live in Taos!?!?!?!? You're SO LUCKY! I've been going there every year for 10 years now, and it's my favourite place in the world
I'm actually spending my gap year there as a Ski Instructor (if they'll have me). Do you know the ski instructors there?

Yes, near there, I am Native American Indian.

Yeah, I agree, it's a little slice of heaven here alright.

Actually, I used to be an instructor there for 3 winters, a few years ago.
I know some of the people there, yeah. But instructors come and go, very few
work more than a few winters at most there before they move on.

Unless things have changed, for insurance reasons one used to have to be at least 18 years old and a U.S.
citizen to be an instructor there. The citizenship requirement might have changed, but it's doubtful
the age requirement for insurance purposes has though. But you should ask them to find out for sure.

I remember when I worked there there was no one working there under 21 at the time as instructors.
There were a few college kids under that age who worked in the lodge and restaurant but not as instructors.

Peace.

The Junior Ski School starts hiring teachers at 16 years old (that's what they told me when I asked for a job there anyway), but I only want to be an instructor after school, so when I'm 18.
As for being a US citizen, the ski school was willing to give me a visa when I asked them if I could join, so I guess it's changed.
Ooh, do you know Rosie (Andy Rosemberg, I think), Derek Gordon (I think that's his last name) and Richard Wallach then!?!? Do you go often to the St B?? You're so lucky you live there O.O
Ooh, and do you know Charly? Aww man, I'd do anything to be in Taos.

Oh ok,..cool.

You obviously know more about it all than I do then.
Which isn't hard to do,... since basically I go up and ski and
keep to myself with a few select friends for the most part these days.

I know a Derek, but don't know the others you mentioned, but if they are up there
I am sure I have seen them at least, but as I sadi, I pretty much keep to myself
and simply ski and snowboard. I have my own gear so rent nothing and have a lifetime
lift pass, given to the tribe, so don't have to buy those either. Since I don't drink, I seldom go
into the lodge/cafe and always bring my own food with.

Actually, most of the time we access Eagles Nest from the backside from the reservation, so we
don't even go into the valley very often at all.

Good luck, hope you get the gig.

Peace.

I like the snowy mountains and the green evergreens. They look black though. Keep up the good work! I wish I had a camera that could take photos like this. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comment!
I wish I owned the camera too. I have to steal it off my sister each time I want to take pictures
