Story of this scene- Ever since Flash Sentry was born, the one thing he's always made it a point to do was try and make his mother happy since for the most part, it was just him, his brother, Comet Tail and his mom, Milky Way. Their father, Prince Blueblood abandoned them when Flash was only 1 year old and Comet Tail hated being a part of their family. He eventually abandoned them as well. Throughout the years, Flash has constantly tried to keep his mother's pain at ease and even find ways to solve their problems.

Eventually, Flash would grow up to move out of the house and enroll in the Royal Guard Academy. A year of training went by, but what he didn't know was that the day that he left, his mother got herself pregnant once more. She went to a local sperm-bank to take a seed from there rather than risk going through the pain of being abandoned again. She wanted to be a mother one more time, hoping that she could have another child as good as how Flash turned out. The results came in and it was the colt that would eventually grow up to become First Base.

On the final day of Flash Sentry's examinations, he faces a powerful opponent who utilized a type of magic that ended up breaking every bone in his body. He was able to win under unorthodox conditions, but he was crippled at the same time as his mother's water breaking. The two of them would end up in the same hospital room when Flash's friends rushed them over. Celestia, from a distance, uses her own magic to keep Flash alive when under normal conditions like these, he would have died. Now in the hospital, Milky Way is about to go into labor and is feeling the intense pain of foaling (Childbirth).

Flash once more takes it upon himself to try and ease her pain since there is no father to this child to offer his hoof for Milky Way to squeeze on. Flash has his friends and doctors move his bed close to hers and extend his hoof out to her while in a full-body cast. Flash Sentry and Milky Way share the pain as the newest member of their family is born. Now, Flash's younger brother, First Base is born. They can rest easy now. The pain is over. All that is left is the recovery.
