Description Photo taken at the "Narrows" at Zion National Park in southern Utah.
Now this place is truly unique to the world, just unreal!
*cybrghst and I hiked the narrows with dry suits because there reallt is now shore. You walk through the Virgin river which has carved huge slot canyons through the mountains at Zion, some places are only 8 feet wide and 1500ft high!

ahh! this reminds me of the caves that my uncle makes! ..crazy.

again, you really nailed the colors and composition in this one..it's so refreshing to see color used so well in natural settings, and not just the standard black and white "artistic" photos

I saw that too on travel channel, its been national park week on travel channel so ive been glued to the TV, so many places to go and no time

But the narrows are unreal, I suggest everyone at least once in there life time to visit the Narrows, it just has to be seen in person to understand the power of it, so you need to go now!!!!!

Thanks

I love this!!!

I've seen so many shots of this and they all look the same, except for this one.

This one gives me a sense of adventure and daring. The textures of the wall and the detail in the shadows are tremendous!!!

Great job, dude!!!!!

I had no idea Zion had narrows like this. Great stuff!
If you like slot canyons, you should most definitely check out Paria Canyon or Buckskin Gulch near the Utah/Arizona border
TONS of photography (and adventure!) opportunities.

'the silent echoes in the canyon, the array of colors reflected from sunlight bouncing into the slots. The graceful virgin river flowing peacefully yet with enough power to erode the surrounding rock formations. Majestic some would say, heaven others, but words cannot begin to describe this amazing place and feelings you get'

Mark, my friend, I loved this when i saw it on the LCD, and the laptop, but wow! When i view this now, i am more amazed then when i first saw it. Excellent capture

I can't believe you do all this in film without previewing. But I can also imagine how many shots you've thrown out. Which is why I can really appreciate the effort and money spent (kaching kaching). I love the terracotta right at the end, it gives the whole image an interesting feel. The light and shadows are incredible. Little crevices like this are always full of interesting things. Did you find anything else among the rocks?
