i love how you turned this otherwise normal portrait into something with darker undertones. your stylization in the shading and coloring really looks awesome...it's very clean and smooth, yet still suggests a variety of textures, like in the hair and bones
she seems to want you to ask about her scar, the way her head is turned just so it's most visible

I originally caught this on the front page, and Im delighted I did (please excuse the lack of an apostrophe since it, for some reason, triggers the "find" sequence. But, for an equally strange reason, quotation marks do not). I love your style and sense of shading, and depth. The colors used for the skin tones make her really stand out from other portraits. The scarring and severe gaze make me think that shes seen a lot and that her judgment of right and wrong might have a lot to deal with her own personal experiences. Perhaps thats why she wears her sons hand?
Ill have to further examine your gallery when class isnt beckoning. I love your style. Its gritty and still refined.
