its bad :\i messed up a lot
but i want to finish it....
1st time scratch-boarding since like .... elementary skool xD
ohai lurker/stalkers cindy and noodles =A=
ugh... kinda in pain atm so i'm distracted from finishing this....
cheap 8x11 scratchboard, whittling knife, bailing wire cut at an angle [no knives at school, kids =3=]

it's a bit off compared to the reference x_o ... like some of the fur isn't in the right direction ... i think i hid it well enough though

Whoa, they don't let you use knives for scratchboards at school? I remember back in junior high and high school I did a couple scratchboards and we had exact-o knives and those specialized scratchboard tools.
I used the shiny silver scratchboard so all attempts to take a picture of it or scan the thing ended in failure. xD
OT: This looks really good, though. I honestly couldn't find the mistakes you were talking about.

Wow, the effect is all so amazing. Beautiful lined furs expressed. How do you do this? And might sound stupid, what's really a scratchboard?

its a plastic/cardboard/wooden board covered with a layer of light[usually white] paint then covered with a layer of black india ink. By sgraffito technique with knives, wirebrushes ... sharp objects, you scratch away the layer of ink to reveal the white paint underneath :3
scratchboard paper is pretty cheap... i got 10 for $7 ? and just use a whittling knife i got in Tsim sha Tsui for really cheap =3=

Haha, lmaoo. Good miscellaneous stuff sold in Hk all the time. I don't really do much crafting, is it possible to do the same effect on paper?
