Morgan is very quiet and silent. He is not shy and isn't afraid to speak his mind, but he prefers staying discreet. He's a little paranoid about loosing his fur coat and being trapped on land, and thus tries not to attract any attention, although his attire does exactly the contrary. This contradiction is a result of his morbid paranoia, and makes him confusing to a lot of people trying to approach him.

He likes luxurious and rich things. He wears a ring with a diamond on his thumb that he claims “belonged to a treasure long lost in the nordic seas”. He tries to look more noble than he actually is, and it tends to intimidate people, even if he's quite short.

He unsurpsingly likes swimming a lot, and isn't bothered by ice cold water or temperatures in general, but he avoids other sports, because he would need to leave his coat somewhere and he can't afford that. He keeps his fur coat with him when he swims, which turns him into a half-man half-seal.

He is easily flustered despite the image he tries to maintain. Once you get to know Morgan, he's sweet, kind and a little too innocent for his own good, but still very paranoid about his fur coat and nostalgic of his former family underwater.

No one has managed to even touch the fur of his coat, and the ones who threatened to got swiftly beaten by Morgan himself. Although a selkie's power to manipulate ice and water is greatly diminished, they are powerful enough to defend themselves with icicles and icy blades. Morgan is especially good at hexes and curses, but they are passive spells that cannot help him in direct danger.

Selkies are mermaids known to live in the northern seas and lakes. They take the shape of seals underwater, although they can also appear as half-man, half-seal.

They are very shy creatures, and unlike mermaids, they do not sing to lure humans underwater. They are pacifist and pretty kind of humans as long as they don't abuse of them.

How can a human abuse a Selkie? Every seven years, selkies shed their seal fur to become fully human. This fur turns into a coat or a scarf and has to be at the selkie's side for it to go back into the water and to its family. In some tales, humans want the selkie for themselves and steal its coat and lock it away to force the selkie to stay with them.

Once the selkie finds its coat back, it will flee with no remorse, and some would curse their captor and their family for keeping them on land. There is little to no information about the cursed families, but some legends says that all members of a cursed family will eventually drown at sea.

Aside from that, selkies are able to manipulate the currents and turn water into ice, useful to escape their natural predators, such as killer whales and sharks in some regions. They are able to manipulate water and ice in seal, merman and human form, although their powers are greatly diminished in human form.
