Evyn really didn't know why she'd let Violett talk her into this.

It was Friday, for crying out loud! Classes hadn't even been over for an hour. By all rights they should have been lounging around, stuffing themselves with snacks and getting a movie marathon queued up. But no, instead she was spending the first part of her weekend uncomfortably bound to a pole with the sickeningly sweet citrus odor of a freshly mopped floor assaulting her nose.

With a muffled string of curses and complaints, Evyn continued straining against the ropes. Bubblegum pink ones too, she noted with distaste, guessing must be a theme with her captor. What kind of stupid idea was that, anyway? Using a specifically colored type of binding material when you're out capturing schoolgirls and committing crimes? Seemed like a good way to get yourself caught.

'Then again.... I don't have much room to talk when it comes to not getting caught,' the raccoon thought to herself, huffing in annoyance and giving another hard pull against the ropes. Why couldn't they have taken another route? Why couldn't her captor have stayed away from windows while she was lurking around? Why did Violett have to be darn inquisitive? And why the hell couldn't she resist her friend's pouty pleadings by now?!

Worn out from her fruitless struggles, Evyn slumped forward, hanging her head and panting for breath. Well, at least Violett was still free... maybe she'd call for the police, or find Evyn and get her off of this pole. Let's see... they snuck in through that open window at the clerk and recorder's office, and seriously could they not have at least gone home to change first? These uniforms were not suited for climbing around! Anyway, they split up after that... Violett said she'd be checking the commissioner's offices while Evyn headed towards the district court chambers.

She grimaced, remembering how she'd been so focused on tiptoeing past each office that she'd walked right into the subject of their snooping. She'd had a split-second to look up into the eyes of a very devious chipmunk woman before she was shoved back against the wall, her hands pinned over her head and a strip of tape pressed firmly over her mouth.

Now, Evyn liked to consider herself pretty scrappy. The kind of damsel who'd be giving her captors the distress. However, her surprise at literally bumping into her captor was debilitating enough that the schoolgirl found herself dragged into a side room and trussed to the pole before her bewildered brain had even managed to catch up!

It was all up to Violett now. She just had to trust in her friend's cunning and ingenuity, rest easy knowing that she would...

"Let go of me! You won't get away with this!"

...get caught immediately after her. Damn it.

Evyn looked over her shoulder as the door was kicked open, their chipmunk captor dragging a struggling Violett in behind her. Adding to her sour mood, Evyn couldn't help but notice that Vi was putting up a far more impressive resistance than she had managed. Vi was also making quite a racket, leading Evyn to constantly look back to the door in the hope that someone would hear the commotion and come to investigate.

Maybe? Anytime now? Somebody? What, didn't they have janitors here at least?

"...going to be sorry!" Evyn looked back to see Violett was now tied to a matching pole, the feisty feline still protesting even as the chipmunk cinched the last knot. "When my mom finds out about this, she'll..."

"Probably also want to know why you and your friend were trespassing on government property," their kidnapper interrupted, making Violett's eyes widen as she tried to stammer out a response.

"Hey! That's mine," she yelped as the chipmunk casually plucked Violett's phone out of her skirt pocket, smirking at the blinking light that showed it was filming this whole time.

She dangled the phone in front of Violett's face before switching off the camera. "You know that surreptitious recording's a crime as well? Gotta have both party's consent to film them, you little delinquent," she purred mockingly.

"But we... you were... we just...mmmmph!" Violett's protests were soon muffled by her own tape gag, the chipmunk stepping in between the struggling schoolgirls and patting their shoulders.

"Let's see here... unlawful entry into government buildings, criminal trespass, could even be burglary! Definitely a privacy in communications charge, thanks to this little baby," she smirked, waving the phone back and forth. "All things considered I'd say I'm justified in lawfully restraining you two until we can figure out what's going on."

Evyn glared and grumbled, unable to believe this crazy lady was trying to accuse THEM of being at fault! Sure they snuck into the building... but... well... and so what if Violett recorded this woman? She was acting suspicious... or something. Okay, maybe it did look kinda bad.

A loud thwack interrupted her musings, and she looked back to see the chipmunk now holding a wooden yardstick, tapping it against her palm with a wide grin. "Now then, I think it's time you sneaky schoolgirls learned a lesson about sticking your noses where they don't belong..."

Evyn and Violett shared a nervous glance. Somehow, they didn't imagine this lesson would involve a boring lecture about the legalities of snooping....
