Description
The last knotwork cross design I did. It incorporates the style I started drawing with and the style I moved into a few years down the road.Currently the most commented on and favorited piece I've uploaded. Even though it's not the piece I'm most proud of. Funny how that works...

Good job, but when tackling a project like this draw ONE half and copy it then flip it and paste it so both sides are identical. Saves time too.

I like how complex, yet simple the design is. There is a beautiful feel of orgainc movement to this that simply captivates me. Thank you very much for sharing this with us.

This is a fantastic work. These bloody things take time. Imagine chiseling them out of stone

I would rather not, seeing as this piece took me hours.....ugh, chisel and stone? Maybe someday when knotwork has succeeded in taking over my life completely and there is nothing left but it. In other words, when Im old and I havent a care in the world and I can just sit and do what I love all day, which will probably never happen, so yeah. I would consider glass and metal etching though (done glass, not metal), and maybe even jewelry if I could get the equipement and training....but yeah, stone? no way

On the glass and meatal etching they recently realesed a a desktop lazer that does just that. Fairly reasonable price on it. It cuts wood and plexiglass too.

you dont say....Im used to the old school methods of actual acid substances for the etching.....I kinda like it that way, makes it feel like its mine, but if I was to go corporate with this a desktop lazer would definately be a useful thing to have....cut down on time too....hmmm. Thanks for the heads up on that, I may just have to research it!

nice piece.
i find it so hard to make knots with different width chords. especially pieces where they blend together as yours do.
especialy love the way the ends of the cross taper and the way they join to the central knot, or rather don't.
you say you want to put it in your armour, do you do metal work? i would love to but i dont have the equpment or money
by the way, i also enjoied the sholder piece you submitted earlier

Thank you for the praise, it is always appreciated. I have welded before, MIG only, but I was thinking a multi-medium type of armour. One would be tattoo's, the other would be leather, and the final would be metal. I desire to learn to make all these things myself so I can be self-sufficient in my productions, but at this moment we are in the same boat; no equipment no money.
I think it would be an interesting thing to have at least a half suit (Upper body only) of armour etched with these designs, then be able to take it off to reveal a duplicate pattern on your skin....now I just have to find a guy who makes armour right?

Hm....I wouldnt be apposed to it, but at the same time I did do this more for my own personal uses.....if you would like I could draw one just for you. Im about personal unique artwork for everyone, no flash, no copies. So yes, if you would like me to draw you one let me know, I can base it off of this one, or I can change it a little so as too better fit your needs and desires. Let me know
