Ah, well, I'm just culling what I get from the stories. XD Sorry if it's wrong. I work mostly with what I see of the character.

Though, to "justify", let's see... Aaron was preoccupied during his last long rant, and it was actually brought on by anger, though I dunno how well I portrayed that, at Lucy's sudden appearance resulting in Aaron's ankle taking a hard hit (I wanted to show some iota of his protectiveness to the new audience, hidden as it is by his general attitude). XD I tried to show it through that "ANGRY EYE" panel, but I don't think many people caught that and figured he was just being a whiny jerk for the express purpose of being a meanie butt.

As for this last bit of talking regarding "Promises," it just sort of tied into the theme of this round's story, which is "Duty to Another person." I figured Charlie might have some feelings about this, since his perceived main motivation in the story is (or was, I guess, depending) his duty to his brother, and right now is his duty to Aaron. At the moment Lucy's kinda "doin it wrong," and I guess I just assumed that, since it tied into his motivation, he might end up saying a line or two about it.

Though it comes down to the fact that this is only a fraction of the story, and the script as a whole actually doesn't have Charlie talking too much, if I think about it, except for when the character needs to (he actually doesn't say a word past "heh" in the next two pages). Maybe you'll see that as the story progresses--we aren't even halfway into the entire plot.

But of course, the creator knows the characters best, so I apologize if I'm getting him wrong XD Glad to know I got his bitchiness down tho.

woah, woah, woah i didn't mean it as a huge criticism XDD sorry if it came off that way! i was just a little surprised to see him so chatty, i still think you did he character really well. though, me and fern were really surprised you did ask us any questions at all about charlie/brian/aaron/kaylee, but since it' the semifinals there's been a lot revealed about the characters in the comics already

XD Nah, I just wanted to explain the "why" behind the chattiness. Also you opened up the door with the comment to my storytelling, and in general I just like talking about it. I hope I didn't sound offended in the comment, I just get long-winded, because this is stuff I enjoy thinking and talking about a lot XDD

Ah, yeah, I ask questions when I feel I need to ask them. When I finally thought up the plot I was going to do, I thought over if what I needed was answered already in the 20 facts and the comics, and I couldn't think of anything that would be major enough to warrant bothering you guys. XD We'll see if my decision was a good one or bad one.
